On the 18 September 2012, a hardy bunch of BCCAGers braved a cold and overcast Melbourne afternoon for a tour of Bentleigh Secondary College.
Bill Thomas, their Head of Sustainable Practices, showed us changes he’s introduced to make his school more sustainable and green. We saw his urban forest, wetlands area, solar panels and wonderful wind turbine, plus the vegetable patch with its nearly set-up aquaponic system.
Bill’s energy and drive is matched only by his larrikin nature. He is an inspiration.
