DETAILS – Both Dr Kiang and Dr Lamba are members of the DEA Victorian Committee and the National DEA Climate Change Committee and will co-present a talk, about the health impacts of climate change, policies that can help mitigate these eﬀects, and how action against climate change can have significant health, and health cost benefits.
Dr Karen Kiang initially trained in the US in paediatrics, adult medicine, and public health, and moved to Australia in 2004. She works at the Royal Children’s Hospital as a paediatrician with a focus on international child health and in immigrant/refugee/asylum seeker health.
Dr Tanji Lamba is currently working clinically full time and is studying a Masters in Public Health. Last year, she traveled to Barcelona to study climate change and health through Johns Hopkins University.
