Future Gas Strategy

Our Federal Government is consulting Industry and the general public about certain aspects of the future of gas in Australia.

BCCAG will make a Submission to this consultation and we invite you to participate as described below.

The consultation process is described HERE and the 38 page consultation paper is HERE as .PDF document for downloading.

A submission can be made by groups or individuals in a simple online process.

The submission is a response to some of 45 questions asked in the consultation paper. The submission may answer just one or many of the 45 questions.

If you want to participate in the BCCAG submission, we ask you to follow the instructions below.

  1. Open and download the consultation paper HERE.

  2. Read the consultation paper and identify the parts that interest you and the questions to which you want to respond.

  3. Copy questions (with the question number) to which you want to respond and Paste them in a Word (or other text editor) document.

  4. Write your response under the copied question.

  5. Email response withe questions to David Williams <david.williams.cpi@gmail.com> and he will compile (including editing and fact checking) them into a BCCAG submission.
    Please have your contribution to David by Thursday 2nd November to allow enough time for it to be assembled and fact checked.

  6. Make your own submission.
    We encourage you to to do this, but of cause this is up to you.

    Paste the questions and your responses into the submission at the appropriate point.

How do I select the questions to which I respond?

Below is and extract from the Consultation Paper (page 5) which addresses this question with a colour coded chart.

While you can answer any question, it is likely that you will only answer questions addressed to Domestic consumers and Community and general public.
